Artists Miriam Simun and Miriam Songster developed a device that mimics the act of eating. They created the device to let people imagine how it would feel when certain types of food can’t be produced anymore because of environmental disaster. To show us how we might continue to taste these types of food, a tasteless substitute (only made of food that is climate change resilient) that simulates the structure of the food you ordered, is served at their GhostFoodtruck. Together with this substitute, a device that extends the olfactory senses is given to the user. When combined, the substitute and the device should make people feel like their actually eating the food they ordered.
